Kristy LaPointe was born in a small village in Africa in 1989. Seriously.

Now she acts, writes, and does social media stuff. Proof of that can be found in this professional and wildly impressive resume.

After moving to Canada, Kristy trained in Calgary with Cindy Christensen at the Playhouse North School of Theatre, graduating from the two-year Meisner conservatory in 2009. In Toronto she dived into the comedy scene, as 1/2 of the duo Hot Cousin (musical comedy & gilmore girlprov & stuff) and as a freelance comedy writer.

In addition to acting, Kristy is a screenwriter for television and the internet, as well as writing for places like Reductress, Tonic Magazine and other top secret places that are definitely real and not made up. In 2017 she co-founded Supes Legit Productions with Lora Campbell, continued in her role as social media manager and facebook live host for The Beaverton and co-created and wrote the digital series #interns. Her feature film screenplay Let’s Do This was awarded support from the Harold Greenberg Fund and is in development. Kristy’s short films include Typecast (Bloody Mary Film Fest, 2018), Wings (Suddenly Appearing Pictures), and Felt Like Me (Vancouver Miniature Film Fest, 2018). She is also the creator and writer of several more comedic web series including Yoga 101 (CBC Comedy, 2018), Swings (IPF Shortlist 2018) and The Totally Normal Cooking Show (WOS Incubator Selection, 2018).
