Kristy first discovered yoga in theatre school after realizing she hated most other forms of exercise. To her surprise she actually started embracing yoga, taking more classes and developing her own practice. She personally found that in addition to building strength and flexibility yoga had amazing benefits for anxiety management. Now a certified yoga teacher, Kristy completed her 200 Hour RYT Teacher Training at Iam Yoga and participated in the Blu Matter Project's first ever HEAL training focused on tailoring yoga classes for mental health. She's taught classes for the Royal Ontario Museum, BMP, Sears, GapFit, Hart House, and served as an instructor ambassador for Emily Hsu Designs. She also stars in and co-created the digital series Yoga 101 for CBC Comedy based on her experiences teaching, working and practicing at downtown yoga studios. 

Kristy's classes use breath work and dynamic sequences to build on student's various experience levels, encouraging self-study, body awareness and proper alignment. She tries to make yoga a fun and accessible practice for people of all skills and abilities, and there's a distinct possibility of a joke or pun finding it's way into instruction.

During hiatuses from acting/writing/comedy jobs, Kristy can be found instructing studio, private and workplace classes in Toronto. They're pretty great.
